Lesson 2 - Months (ZH)

In the last post I claimed that there is nothing easier than days of the week in Chinese, but in fact months are even easier. Take the number and add "" (yuè):

January - ( yuè)
February - (èr yuè)
March - (sān yuè)
April - (sì yuè)
May -  (wǔ yuè)
June -  (liù yuè)
July -  (qī yuè)
August -  (bā yuè)
September -  (jiǔ yuè)
October -  (shí yuè)
November - 十一 (shíyī yuè)
December - 十二 (shíèr yuè)

Month - (yuè)

And if you want to say a date, you first say the month, then the day, and then add "" (hào), for example:
你的生日是几? (Nǐ de shēngrì shì jǐ yuèhào?) (When is your birthday?)
Answer:
我的生日是十二月四号 (Wǒ de shēngrì shì shí'èr yuè hào.) (My birthday is on the 4th of December.)

真的!(Zhēn de!) - Seriously!

你呢?(Nǐ ne?) - what about you?
